Super Smokers BBQ + Cajun is St. Louis’ original Memphis BBQ restaurant.

The godfather of the St. Louis barbecue scene moved out of its original barn where it resided since its inception in the mid ‘90s and upgraded into a cozy, 3,400 square foot home in January 2023.

“As much as we loved the ‘old red barn,’ the building needed a ton of work,” owner Jeff Fitter said of the building he bought from Super Smokers founder Terry Black in 2017.

“We’ve wanted to expand the menu for a while which necessitates a larger kitchen.”

Part of the expansion is the addition of Cajun menu items.

Loyal foodies and new guests can still sink their teeth into the world champion barbecue that made Super Smokers famous.

They can also enjoy authentic cajun classics like fresh Seafood Gumbo (with crawfish and shrimp), jambalaya, Po’ boys, and shrimp etouffee.

Super Smokers cajun menu items are inspired and approved by 10-time Gumbo Festival World Champion Kernis Louviere.

“What makes cajun food so unique is we don’t spice our food, we flavor our food. We like to layer the flavors as we go,” Louviere says. “The cajun at Super Smokers is pretty darn authentic,” he says.

To help introduce the new menu items and promote the new Eureka location, Imig Communications provided its monthly Jumbo Video Package for Super Smokers BBQ + Cajun.

Our monthly service provided a tour of the new location with Fitter, gave a preview of what’s to come with the Super Smokers drive through and promoted the new menu additions not yet familiar to the loyal enthusiasts

“To say the results have been fantastic is an understatement,” says Fitter.

“The engagement and views from the social video marketing has a huge impact on our business and bottom line,” he says.

“We see people come in and ask for what they saw on Instagram or Facebook,” says Fitter.

“You can’t ask for better results than that.”

The statistics from this series of videos prove that:

  1. Organic reach is not dead on social platforms
  2. People will watch a video all the way through, regardless of length
  3. A restaurant can influence existing and new guests through social video

Those three things assume the video storytelling is high-quality, that it’s specifically formatted for each social platform and that it’s customized to the business to showcase that personal touch that makes the business its authentic self.
